Mission

APPROVED CHARITY & NGO
CFS is a government registered approved charity as per gazette no. 13998 of 23/3/1964. It is also registered as a Non-Government Organization (NGO), no. SL/1136 of 11/12/2006. On 30/8/2011 CFS was registered as Home for the Disabled under the Western Province Social Services Department -no. WP/SSD/G1DH/2011.06
Residents
Most of our residents do not have anywhere else they can call home; therefore this facility is vital. They are not disabled, just differently abled. Most of the about 70 residents, with ages ranging from young children to adults in their fifties, are those who have been abandoned or orphaned. Many live their entire lives at the Home with only a few fortunate ones having family.
History of CFS Prithipura
The Prithipura Home provides a home environment from childhood to adulthood for about 70 mentally and physically differently abled residents.
We offer a safe place for the well-being and rehabilitation of the residents who need special care and attention due to mental, physical, social or economic reasons.
Cottages in CFS Prithipura
The CFS Prithipura Home is a community home and not a traditional institution. The residents are housed in 6 cottages within the premises. This offers the feel of an extended family unit, ‘a home within a home’.
